About Us

As you may have seen on TV, heard on the radio, or found out online, Southern California — and particularly San Diego county — was ripped apart by disastrous wild fires. I was watching the news during the fires and saw more than 500,000 people evacuated, and all those who lost everything, and I thought hey, what can I do?

I was a participant in the Hurricane Poster Project that you may be aware of. It was conceived by Leif Steiner as a collective effort by artists and designers to unite and help those effected by hurricane Katrina. It was immensely successful in raising needed funds. I contacted Leif, and asked if I could use his model for this effort, The So-Cal Fire Poster Project. (Thanks, Leif!) To be successful, we are counting on designer participation. Our goal for the project is to raise as much money as possible for the Salvation Army, earmarked for Southern California fire relief.

Along with friends and local business partners the project was born. The work you see on the site is from many people who I had never met or known before but have admired for a long time. After contacting them, they have graciously given their time and talents to help those in need.

I would like to thank Robert Palmer for this amazing website, the friends who have pitched in to help with the project's daily needs, Merchlackey.com for the great shopping experience you will have, the McRae agency for helping us get the word out about these amazing pieces of art, and a huge thanks the artists who have created them.

Thanks for your interest.

Best,
